Tsk, after five hours of download time, I thought I’d be able to play at last. A final Patcher issue arose, and though I looked at numerous threads, I’m not able to get the Patcher to complete.
On the plus side, I now know about UAC. That didn’t help.
There was no “tm” in any line anywhere in the LOTRO folder.
Firewall isn’t the issue.
Most of the posts were from Macintosh users (Get thee behind me, Macintosh!) These threads occur from 2009 to 2014 so I would say that this ought to be A Known Issue with a Known Set of Fixes.
I’ll wait to see if it clears up. If not, no LOTRO for me, alas.
