This is my 500th post on this blog! Not bad!
16. Take a LOTRO selfie
Here’s my Burglar, in the Skirmish Tutorial.
17. Did you read the books before playing the game? If not, has playing the game made you more curious at all?
I read all the books in college. The Hobbit first, and loved it. I was very attached to the characters and was very unhappy they wouldn’t all continue in Fellowship of the Ring. That didn’t last long! I’m usually not a stickler for Lore, but here’s a case where any variations would be hugely notable to me. I’ve always appreciated how Standing Stone has kept the world, as much as possible, a true Middle Earth.
18. If you could throw a character in Mount Doom, who would get barbecued? Lalia from the Barrow-downs! Agh, maybe they’ve made her less irritating over the years but grrrr, that girl. On my list of Worst Escort Quests Ever.
19. Show off your favorite mount.
I just don’t have a good picture of it, but my Loremaster’s mount is my favorite.
20. If you could only have one skirmish, what would it be?
They didn’t have skirmishes back in the old days…. so for this post, first I tried to level a L17 Loremaster to 20 so I could try it out…way to too slow.
Then, I sent my L25 Burglar to Bree to try out the tutorial, at least. It seemed pretty simple. If it turns out to be fun, variant game play and has rewards that I like, I may try a few more, or at least one full one.
I’m adding the address for the Middle Earth Wisdom LOTRO challenge to all the posts in the series to make the challenge itself easier to find in case you’d like to try it.
